Tests according to MIL-STD-285 approve the superior screening performance of our canopies due to the consequent deployment of Aaronia-Shield®. The RF (high-frequency) radiation damping performance, especially in the frequency range where pulsed signals from cell towers etc. are present, is an exceptional 43dB (99,992%) to 50dB (99,999%). Compared to canopies made from the other products shown, canopies made from Aaronia-Shield® offer 30 to 1000 times better protection!
Apart from this, canopies made from Aaronia-Shield® can also be grounded and thus even protect against static AND low-frequency EMF, which is generated by virtually all cables running through homes, all home appliances and also high-voltage power lines.

Simple and practical: Rectangular canopies can simply be "put aside" without trouble and thus free space when needed.

The various screening canopy systems currently available on the market are very diverse concerning their protection efficiency and affordability. Most offer hardly any protection at all in the higher GHz ranges. Mostly they are also extremely expensive and do not offer protection against low frequency EMF radiation, either. Also, the customer currently mostly needs TWO seperate screenings: One against RF and another against LF.
Consequently, Our canopies offer a very affordable alternative whose handling is particularly easy for the novice: The screening canopy made from the "screening fabric" offers extremely good screening performance especially in the high GHZ range. Simultaneously protects against both RF AND LF E-field radiation and is still extremely transparent. The reason behind this very good screening efficiency is a complex textile concept based on a special kind of patented silver/polyamid fibre. Canopies can be folded without the risk of taking damage, are anti-septic and extremely breathable.
It is noteworthy that canopies do NOT need to be grounded for high-frequency screening! Though, we generally recommend grounding using the corresponding grounding mat, as that way, protection against LF electric fields caused by high-voltage lines, power cables, etc. will also be achieved.
 
 
           
         


            
Aaronia, probably as the first supplier at all, not only offers a highly transparent screening canopy with 50dB damping, but also a complete, sophisticated SCREENING SYSTEM around the canopy:
First, the high-grade canopy is installed. To screen the floor area as well, special screening mats have been developed. These can simply be put under the bed. That way, a complete, integrated screening system is established, achieving complete screening even in the floor area. Screening the floor area is indispensable with nearly all types of floors, as RF radiation can permeate them virtually unaffected. Two seperate grounding cables are included with the screening mat: One for connection to a radiator (heating appliance), and, in case no radiator is installed, a cable for direct connection to the wall socket's integrated grounding. Connection to the grounding mat is very easy by using a so-called "alligator crimp" attached to the grounding cable. That way, you achieve an optimal screening even against LF radiation / EMF.
Screening canopies still have further advantages:
In contrast to cotton-based canopies, canopies made from Aaronia-Shield create a very open, natural atmosphere. Because of the high proportion of silver in the material, very good heat conductivity is achieved. Thus, the heat generated by the human body can quickly and easily escape and does not accumulate under the canopy, like with other canopy systems. A very fresh and light atmosphere is the result, which you will appreciate especially on hot summer days.
Naturally, our screening canopies also offer regular protection against midges and flies.
Whenever possible, you should use a rectangular canopy if you plan to install it permanently. Even though this version will always be slightly more expensive, it offers the most space and easiest handling in daily use. As such, you can simply "put aside" a rectangular canopy and thus have free access to your bed. "Entry" and "exit" is also very comfortable, and there is no way for pieces of the canopy to get caught up in your bed.
In contrast, a pyramid canopy is particularly easy to set up and tear down, so it is very well suited for (holiday) trips, always offering optimal protection against electrosmog.

Notice: when using the dB unit, an increase of 10dB is equivalent to a 10fold increase in strength. For example, 100dB is 10 times as strong as 90dB, or 100 times as strong as 80dB, etc.
 


 




The 99% lie or why efficient screening is so important

Many suppliers try to fool their customers with percentage figures. Figures like "90% (10dB) or 99% (20dB) screening" try to impress with an allegedly high screening efficiency. Often, not even the corresponding frequencies are given, or the percentages are given with respect to "low" frequencies (MHz range or 1-2 GHz).

However, only at very high frequencies, a screening product can show its real capabilities. However, exactly here, many screening products show their weaknesses!

Rigorous architecture-biological exposure limits aren't even remotely reached with screening efficiencies as low as 90% or 99%, depending on the present radiation strength! However, particularly electro-sensitive persons need conformance with these standards and recommendations.

Not the amount of damping in percent, but conformance to exposure limits or recommendations should be the primary aim of screening efforts. This makes a big difference!

Only with screening efficiencies above 99,999% (50dB) or better, chances are that these standards are fulfilled. However, in many cases screening efficiencies of more than 50dB, like with Aaronia X-Dream (100dB), are necessary.

So, it is of CONSIDERABLE importance how many digits you see after the decimal point if screening efficiency is measured in percent, as every additional '9' means 10dB better efficiency. So, don't get fooled by various suppliers!

Rather, only consider the so-called dB figures, especially those in the higher GHz range (at 10 GHz and above, a screening product shows its real strength!). dB figures reflect the effective screening power much more "neutrally" than visually impressive percentages. Also, it is far easier to calculate the efficiency of various screening measures in dB.

The following example demonstrates the importance of a high screening efficiency, using the probably well-known dB(A) table:

Notice: When working with dB(A) figures, 10dB mean a change by a factor of 10. Examples: 100dB(A) noise is 10 times stronger than 90dB(A) or a hundred times stronger than 80dB(A) etc.
dB as a damping unit means a tenfold increase at 10dB, 20dB being ten times as much as 10dB, 30dB being 100 times as much as 10dB, etc

In our example, we will relate a common level of exposure to electrosmog with the noise level of a "souped-up" car perceived as unbearable at 100dB(A) (See table 1). So, if our screenings were made for damping noise instead of electrosmog, the following sample calculation would apply:
Using a screening with 99% (20dB) efficiency, there would still be a noise level of 80dB(A). This would still be roughly equivalent to causing hearing damage (caused by 85dB(A)).
Even when using a screening of 99,9% (30dB) efficiency, a noise level of 70dB(A) would still be present. This would be equivalent to traffic noise next to a main road which would cause circulatory diseases.
In contrast, using a screening product with 99,999% efficiency (50dB as with Aaronia-Shield), a noise level of only 50dB(A) would remain. This would "only" be equivalent to the noise exposure next to a quiet road in a residential area.
Even more, a 100dB screening efficiency, like Aaronia X-Dream offers, would actually give you a "perfect" screening.
Using our example, the following situations could be derived:
